Sony Ericsson Aino. Count ‘em: four!

With not one, not two, not even three, but a stonking four different media apps that are, well, all worthy of writing about in their own right, the Aino is worthy of a nice long list:

  • Media Go – This little thing helps you play and organise all the music, photos, videos and podcasts on your PC simply and effortlessly to directly on the Aino via Wi-Fi. Anything that removes docks / wires and other tripping hazards is a winner in our book.
  • Remote Play – Let’s you control your Playstation3 and access its media content on your Aino. And not just at home (via a local network), but anywhere in the world via the internet. Neat, huh?
  • PlayTVservice – Let’s you use that TV function on your Playstation3 via the Aino. So you can watch, pause and record live TV from a range of free channels on the go.
  • Media Home – Pulls media content from your PC over to your Aino automatically. Sounds like one of those dangerous synchronizing things that wipes your files if you’re not careful, but still, nice idea.

So there we have. List worthy, like we said. Not sure this’ll be for everyone (there’s still many of us who find watching TV / films on a tiny phone screen a wee bit annoying, but if you’re a media junky this could be just the fix you’re looking for.
