Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Shines New Light on Windows Mobile

XPERIA2_03If you have not enjoyed using Windows Mobile then wait until you get a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 contract. It has only been a couple of months since the release of Windows Mobile 6.5 but there are plenty of 3G smart phones out there using the OS; still none of these devices have the same power and capabilities as the XPERIA X2. Sony Ericsson will totally change your viewpoint on the WinMo OS when you see how great it runs on the X2. Add in some Sony-class hardware and you have got a mobile phone that surpasses all the other Windows Mobile 6.5 devices out there.

A Class of Its Own

The XPERIA X2 uses a Sony made navigation system and the Windows Mobile OS. This means you can easily access the hardware features such as the camera easily from the main X2 OS, while the rest of the applications and features are stored within Windows Mobile. Making full use of the QWERTY keyboard are email functions and the Pocket Office application for editing and creating Word documents, Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentations. Windows Mobile has its own internet browser, Outlook Mobile and Media Player. The Windows Media Player supports a wide variety of video and music file formats allowing you to use this phone as a media center.

Sony Hardware

The X2 does make a great media center, thanks to the great built in speakers, the 3.5mm audio jack and the high quality 3.5 resistive touch screen with a native resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It has GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA and wireless LAN for internet connectivity. The camera has 8 mega pixels and is perfect for taking high resolution photos and sharing them online (it has auto focus and LED flash too). This mobile phone is coming out pretty soon as it is now the last quarter of 2009.
